I'm just defrosting from our last little bit of snow and wondering where Spring is!<br />
<br />
This is just a quick post to show you one of the graphic designs I have been playing around with.<br />
<br />
There is so much to learn, and I am hoping to start teaching myself Adobe Illustrator soon. WHY are there only 24 hours in a day???<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KLm_DeZMjx0/WrDsplUugBI/AAAAAAAAA5k/T-QZ3G7hk5IpozBgnongsuK4-mLe-giMwCLcBGAs/s1600/love%2Bglitter%2Bplanner%2Bgirl%2Bwatermarked.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="530" data-original-width="530" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KLm_DeZMjx0/WrDsplUugBI/AAAAAAAAA5k/T-QZ3G7hk5IpozBgnongsuK4-mLe-giMwCLcBGAs/s400/love%2Bglitter%2Bplanner%2Bgirl%2Bwatermarked.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I think this would be lovely in a tweens room!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I am hoping to get up to the Diva Den and do some paper crafting - It seems like an age since I played.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Take care and hope to see you soon.</div>

I'm trying to keep warm as temperatures drop here in the UK.<br />
<br />
Almost a year ago, my lovely MIL sent us some money - kids got bikes and I bought myself the Brother Scan n Cut - CM900.<br />
I had been wanting an electric cutting machine for years. but never had the spare cash to get one.<br />
OH MY - this machine has not disappointed me in the least.<br />
<br />
Initially I watched a ton of YouTube videos, so when my machine arrived, I felt confident to just get cracking. I bought mine from Create and Craft as a bundle - it included a USB with cut files.<br />
I loaded my paper and just selected a file.<br />
Soon, I was cutting names that I had learnt to weld together. I fumbled my way through Canvas and then, tentatively, Inkscape. I have so much to learn, but can highly recommend the ride!<br />
<br />
Canvas has new designs loaded periodically; they include a video of the make and the cut files to download.<br />
<br />
This super cute Bird House is one of the cut files.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZndQen5P6AI/WpFMq6XMzuI/AAAAAAAAA40/wcYmWrB-bjQ9HzprQwVvKiULo6mrhHJpgCLcBGAs/s1600/2017-12-03%2B112455-1883012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZndQen5P6AI/WpFMq6XMzuI/AAAAAAAAA40/wcYmWrB-bjQ9HzprQwVvKiULo6mrhHJpgCLcBGAs/s400/2017-12-03%2B112455-1883012.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used scrapbook 12'x12' card that I bought from Wilko's - it's double sided, so looked great from all angles.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CbCmfqw_nnI/WpFMfPzXEKI/AAAAAAAAA5E/opibP9DVBCs-U-2Ki5fPXByiV9e0odZIgCEwYBhgL/s1600/2017-12-02%2B212342-2026250.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="901" data-original-width="1600" height="225" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CbCmfqw_nnI/WpFMfPzXEKI/AAAAAAAAA5E/opibP9DVBCs-U-2Ki5fPXByiV9e0odZIgCEwYBhgL/s400/2017-12-02%2B212342-2026250.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's very easy to put together - just remember to use strong adhesive. I used the red tape.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hoard acetate from packaging, so used this for the windows.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The finishing touches were a tag I punched using off cuts, the heart from the off cuts too and organza ribbon.</div>

It has been beyond forever since I last posted. In the past three years the kids have grown and I've started to burst at the seams of my fabulous craft room!<br />
<br />
In my last post, we were getting ready to move. It has been wonderful growing into our new home and doing the few home DIY projects in this beautiful Victorian house.<br />
Life and kids have been my most major projects, but I have had a little time to craft.<br />
<br />
I recently set up a Face Book page to showcase some of the things I have done.<br />
Please pop by for a visit:<br />
<a href="http://www.facebook.com/ollieandcohandmade">www.facebook.com/ollieandcohandmade</a><br />
<br />
Cake making and decorating, paper crafting and some sewing bits have kept the creative in me.<br />
<br />
My recent splurge has to be the Scan n Cut! I have really enjoyed learning how to use the machine, and crafting some fabulous makes.<br />
<br />
I have also started dabbling in Graphic design - baby steps at the moment, but I am really enjoying the new challenge.<br />
<br />
I will start posting some of my makes in the next day or so.<br />
<br />
Thank you, as ever, for popping by.<br />
<br />

My craft room is going to take quite a while........<br />
WHERE are we going to put all the boxes???<br />
<br />
I have some more photo's of felt gifts that I made for Christmas. The named ones are for a friend and her family and the hearts and circles for O's teachers at school.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3qekJBXBivQ/VQRWErM5VxI/AAAAAAAAA0I/20_7kK5CwCc/s1600/042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3qekJBXBivQ/VQRWErM5VxI/AAAAAAAAA0I/20_7kK5CwCc/s1600/042.JPG" height="476" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The gingerbread men were cut using Sizzix die, the ornate bauble is Marianne Designs and letters for the name are MFT. The circles are spellbinders.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8Za5RToPdMk/VQRWnWp1uMI/AAAAAAAAA0w/8TwYDDeHaO0/s1600/050.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8Za5RToPdMk/VQRWnWp1uMI/AAAAAAAAA0w/8TwYDDeHaO0/s1600/050.JPG" height="478" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Most of the dies used were MFT and the flowers and ornate star/bauble are Marianne Designs.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I do battle getting lots of nice colours of felt. I have not ordered on-line, as truthfully, I would probably buy some in every colour (restraint and patience are not virtues of mine)! I do like physically touching and feeling what I buy, and then like to have it immediately............</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Below is a photo of what will eventually be my "diva den".</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Still huge amounts of work to be done, so don't know how often I will get to post in the next two months. Wish me luck!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope you all have a blessed Easter and get to spend some quality time with family and friends. Take care x</div>

Sorry I have been gone for so long. August last year we had a visit from my folks. It was 5 wonderful, amazing and special weeks. The rest of the year flew by with my stepson visiting for Christmas and house hunting. <br />
<br />
Happily we have finally bought a house (we hope...this UK house buying is the most stressful system ever) and are hoping to move in April. The best part is I will have a nice size room as my diva den - whoopee. It is a Victorian property which does need work doing to it, but this will be completed over the next few years when funds allow. The period features are beautiful and we are so looking forward to making this our forever family home.<br />
<br />
I have been quite busy with cake orders, so the card making and sewing have taken a back seat. I am hoping to post some of the creations soon, but they will be slightly cake decorating heavy as this has been the majority of my crafting.<br />
<br />
I am home-obsessed at the moment. Most of my pins on Pinterest are home related and I seem to be searching for an elusive warm grey to paint our new living room. Sigh......patience is not a virtue of mine and I want everything done and dusted yesterday.<br />
<br />
Finally - this is the card I made for the teachers at O's nursery last year. The forest school there was the reason we chose it, so I wanted a 'nature" theme.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
I hope to be around blogging more often this year. Would love to hear from you guys.<br />
Take careDebbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08438622923341832693noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7194995141375221781.post-19979950309164790582014-07-26T21:46:00.000+01:002014-07-26T22:07:00.995+01:00Embroidery- felt and fabric hearts<div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Hi there. Welcome!</span></div>
This month I have been rather crafty, but no tag as yet.<br>
<br>
I decided to give gifts to the teachers, assistants etc at O's nursery, as he is leaving to start big school. There were 12 gifts that I needed. I did not have money to go out and buy, so decided to explore what stash I had in my craft room.<br>
My husband affectionately calls my hoarding "collecting", and it has paid off. I found felt and fabric, ribbons, buttons and beads, all waiting patiently for their turn.......<br>
I looked through my collection of dies and settles on My Favourite Things heart. I cut out double in each fabric and then looked at the flowers etc that I had made previously.<br>
<br>
This is what I ended up with:<br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-URq3Ffsd3ac/U9QXjV-9w5I/AAAAAAAAAyo/bDEFsy5u6aQ/s640/blogger-image--1886664983.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-URq3Ffsd3ac/U9QXjV-9w5I/AAAAAAAAAyo/bDEFsy5u6aQ/s640/blogger-image--1886664983.jpg"></a></div><br><div>Each heart was made with the recipient in mind. O and I chatted about each person and we tried to make things that he associated with that person.</div><div>I really had such fun making these. It kept my hands busy while I watched TV, so I did not feel like snacking.....</div><div><br></div><div>A few more pics, cause I am really happy with the way they turned out!</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-sQ6rxfE94B8/U9QXmHF4v3I/AAAAAAAAAy4/emozB1v1u4E/s640/blogger-image-689518958.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-sQ6rxfE94B8/U9QXmHF4v3I/AAAAAAAAAy4/emozB1v1u4E/s640/blogger-image-689518958.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-k0LydvU5z8w/U9QXhoZsDVI/AAAAAAAAAyg/e9O4ye9cYwU/s640/blogger-image-1755346958.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-k0LydvU5z8w/U9QXhoZsDVI/AAAAAAAAAyg/e9O4ye9cYwU/s640/blogger-image-1755346958.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-jaX3QsqA840/U9QXnpffuzI/AAAAAAAAAzA/Qm2wAlNefas/s640/blogger-image--1719080373.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-jaX3QsqA840/U9QXnpffuzI/AAAAAAAAAzA/Qm2wAlNefas/s640/blogger-image--1719080373.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_bw0WyIxi0k/U9QXk_86hGI/AAAAAAAAAyw/CWQ1tCH6Prs/s640/blogger-image-1488181607.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_bw0WyIxi0k/U9QXk_86hGI/AAAAAAAAAyw/CWQ1tCH6Prs/s640/blogger-image-1488181607.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div>I will post the card I made for the nursery on a separate post.</div><div><br></div><div>Take care and happy crafting.</div><div>Xoxo</div>Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08438622923341832693noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7194995141375221781.post-45486283083256158362014-07-05T20:27:00.001+01:002014-07-05T20:27:42.074+01:0012 Tags of 2014 - JuneI hope all the US readers had a great 4th of July. I have had a busy month, starting to prepare everything for O to start school.<div>He had his home visit with the teachers, which he loved and he will be visiting the school soon.</div><div><br></div><div>Better late than never to post June's tag. This month I had made my tag before seeing what Tim Holtz had done. Not that it matters, as I have just been doing my own thing. I think July will have to be inspired by Tim's tag.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, back to June.</div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AgOgXXvmuUc/U7hRhhwgrRI/AAAAAAAAAyI/2DPhEM0CiZU/s640/blogger-image--2033449030.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AgOgXXvmuUc/U7hRhhwgrRI/AAAAAAAAAyI/2DPhEM0CiZU/s640/blogger-image--2033449030.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I have been wanting to use the Tim Holtz movers and shapers "journey" Sizzix die (657203) for a while. <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Hi there and thanks for stopping by.</span> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
This month's tag has been inspired by the many I have seen on Pinterest. Spring is in the air, and what better way to celebrate, than pay homage to the cheerful and beautiful birds that are perking up my spirits with their songs.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
This is a subdued interpretation of spring, no bold and vibrant colours - just waking from the winter and hints of colour.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-7OIYQ0WyUyI/U4R-lswzKxI/AAAAAAAAAxw/9skMvl9VjoQ/s640/blogger-image-410484062.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-7OIYQ0WyUyI/U4R-lswzKxI/AAAAAAAAAxw/9skMvl9VjoQ/s640/blogger-image-410484062.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-KMeMQR22BaQ/U4R-kIHroOI/AAAAAAAAAxo/b8_s_dxS6dQ/s640/blogger-image--1556412637.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-KMeMQR22BaQ/U4R-kIHroOI/AAAAAAAAAxo/b8_s_dxS6dQ/s640/blogger-image--1556412637.jpg" width="478" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The tag was embossed with the Sizzix Birdcages #2- I used the de- bossed side.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The birds in the cages were coloured in with my copics- BV00, BG32,RV32 and V12. I then used crackle glaze on them just to add some interest.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The bird cage is a Marianne Designs die, LR0147, cut on textured cream card stock. I added some sparkle with Crafters Companion Spray and Sparkle ( I really LOVE this product)!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Once the cage was dried, I used the crackle medium on the base and the top of the cage. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
3 feathers were cut from glitter card, using the My Favourite things "feather and arrows" die. These were stuck flat and the cage was mounted using foam tape.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The "washi" tape was handmade from Madeline Floyd/ Penny Kennedy Birds tissue paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The tag was then distressed using the memory makers distressing tool, and edged with Oasis Green versa magic chalk ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Bakers twine and a patterned button complete the tag.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I love the softness of the tag, and the almost lazy simplicity........</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Close-up of the crackle glaze- I had forgotten how much fun it is to use! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Take care and hope you have fun with your tag creations.....</div>

<br />
Today I am posting my April tag - I wanted to do something more masculine. I really battle when it comes to "male" cards etc. I had my eye on the Tim Holtz, Sizzix Weathered clock for a while. My wonderful SIL sent me an Amazon voucher for my birthday and I had so much fun spending it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gOg64VjdP90/U2I79JsVSDI/AAAAAAAAAxY/p7nnOjAAT4Y/s1600/014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gOg64VjdP90/U2I79JsVSDI/AAAAAAAAAxY/p7nnOjAAT4Y/s1600/014.JPG" height="640" width="478" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This month I also played around with backgrounds. Firstly I made a mask using acetate and the Tim Holtz weathered clock. Once sprayed with re-positionable glue, I placed it on my tag. <br />
<br />
I started with The Ranger Adirondack colour washes - Butterscotch and Espresso and then used the Tsukineko Java Walnut ink. Before the inks were dry, I blotted them with a tissue and it looked a little like leather. <br />
Once those were dry and the mask removed, I sprayed the tag with Perfect pearls mists in forever red, forever blue and forever green.<br />
The Umbrella man is also a Tim Holtz die (cut from brown textured card stock and mounted on foam tape). Here again, I made masks with Tim Holtz Gadget gears and then spritzed a gold shimmer mist. I unfortunately don't have a brand for this.<br />
The leaves are all Marianne Designs, cut in Matt gold card stock and then spritzed with the perfect Pearl mists again (forever red and forever green). The Bee embellishment is from my stash.<br />
<br />
The tab at the top is from My Favourite Things - mini tabs foursome, cut in craft card stock. The wording is stamped using the "Dear Lizzy" word stamps (the ones that look like dates stamps and you turn the dials until you get the phrase you want......gosh, if I could only find the proper name for them......). This is then finished off with two bronze brads. The tag was distressed using my making memories distresser.<br />
<br />
I am feeling a bird theme for the next tag - Just seen a lovely one on Tim Holtz's blog....<br />
<br />
Take care and thanks for joining me.Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08438622923341832693noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7194995141375221781.post-18535002776424388132014-05-01T13:14:00.001+01:002014-05-01T13:14:44.529+01:0012 tags of 2014 - March1st of May - looks like a good time to post March's tag........I must be the worlds worst blogger, hence my hoards of follwers...hee hee hee. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The background was made using the Ranger Dylusions inks in Lemon zest, Bubblegum pink and Vibrant Turquoise. Once dried I used an iridescent spray and then the Crafters Companion Sparkle spray</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The doll is a 2014 Julie Nutting Prima doll called Mindy. I stamped her with versafine in black ink onto card stock and paper from an old book. She was coloured in with my copics.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The dies used were My Favourite Things - Eiffel Tower and mini rolled roses.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The fence is Memory Box Estate fence cut using craft paper. The two stamps are Script from Nikki Zipp and Stampin up - Doodle this.</div>

It was for their daughter and her Husband, who just happens to be my Hubby's uncle.</span></div><div><br></div><div>Shirley loves bling and I wanted a feminine touch, but not over the top.</div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-KUgULQJcJuI/UxdQ-TXhfcI/AAAAAAAAAwg/PpNRpH4oBvs/s640/blogger-image--992916107.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-KUgULQJcJuI/UxdQ-TXhfcI/AAAAAAAAAwg/PpNRpH4oBvs/s640/blogger-image--992916107.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The letter dies are MFT and the Christmas tree is Memory box. The snowflake is also from MFT.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The letters and snowflake were cut from glitter paper. The paper is from my stash- and I sprayed the Crafters Companion glitter spray over them for the added sparkle that I feel Christmas demands.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The patterned paper was then edged in silver marker just to help make it pop. The stamp sentiment was MFT and stamped in silver ink. The base for the sentiment is a Spelbinders die.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I really enjoyed making this card - I googled the instructions after seeing so many on the Splitcoasters gallery that I view daily! It's great for inspiration and there are so many talented card makers and paper crafters out there.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Two more pics of the card, but please excuse the quality of the photo's. <br>
The tag I am using has been cut from the Tim Holtz Sizzix "Tag and bookplate" onto thick card stock.<br>
I clear embossed the background - stamp from Stamping Up! and then spritzed a shimmer mist over, which has a vintage walnut and purple shimmer.<br>
<br>
The barcode stamp is "stamped and coded" from Autumn Leaves and ink was Satin Rose.<br>
<br>
The 3 roses are My Favourite Things dies "royal rose" and "rolled rose" medium size. The paper for the roses was spritzed with the glimmer mist before die cutting.<br>
<br>
I think the flourish is a Magnolia die, but not too sure. I definitely need to do some catalogue work on my dies!<br>
<br>
The ribbon is from my stash and I used 3 different colours.<div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-EXRGYSKe8Kc/UxZbwe2w8oI/AAAAAAAAAvw/cCXJ1U3c3fM/s640/blogger-image--2010763196.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-EXRGYSKe8Kc/UxZbwe2w8oI/AAAAAAAAAvw/cCXJ1U3c3fM/s640/blogger-image--2010763196.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-y1N7BDS1c_E/UxZbxwz2KJI/AAAAAAAAAv4/t6l9oP8RE5Q/s640/blogger-image--1807777177.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-y1N7BDS1c_E/UxZbxwz2KJI/AAAAAAAAAv4/t6l9oP8RE5Q/s640/blogger-image--1807777177.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div>February is underway, the image is stamped and coloured, however I am at a loss of what to do next.</span><br style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Hope you like my tag- any comments welcome. Sigh....however, there is some light at the end of it now.<br />
The move 10 months ago has really hit hard - my family and friends so far away, a cold, dismal winter and my hubby working away MOST of the time. There has been no will to create beyond the forced few cards. <br />
<br />
3 weeks ago my hubby and I decided that I should return to gym...well the pool at least. I have also downloaded a fitness app to my ipad and now on a focused mission to get back to the old me....(and that is literally as 42 is but 3 weeks away...).<br />
<br />
I have met some really great gals - Sarah, Kate, Jenny and Alison. Sarah and Kate are twins and enjoy crafting like I do; Jen (from the US) is the most inspirational and courageous gal I have met in ages and Alison is a fellow Saffer (South African) with the MOST ADORABLE baby girl. <br />
<br />
It is truly amazing how God works - both Sarah and Jen have sons at the same school as O, and thanks to a mutual friend of Jen, I met Alison. We all have bits and pieces in common and thanks to this, I am beginning to feel whole again.<br />
<br />
OK - so enough of my rambling. <br />
My belated new years resolution - .........I am going to attempt to post something handmade once a week at least. I hope that this is the push I need to get me into the groove, and off the couch. <br />
<br />
Sarah and Kate are trying to teach me how to crochet. Friends back in SA did show me a bit, but the mist has clouded those instructions. I was going to proudly post a pic of my first attempt, but the look of horror on my hubby's face deterred me. However, I will get it right somehow and hope that one of my future posts will include a crochet item.<br />
<br />
I also want to make 12 tags of 2014 - if you are a Tim Holtz fan, you know what I mean. I will have to make Jan and Feb quickly and will post those as soon as I am done.<br />
<br />
V celebrated her 2nd birthday in Jan and sweetly asked me (in her DIVA way) for a Hello Kitty party. I will post some pics of her cake which was such fun to make. O and V have decided that I have to have a princess party for my birthday, so I guess a princess cake will be made for them to enjoy.<br />
<br />
Anyway....hope I have not bored you too much with all these thoughts and promises and hope to have something creative in the next few days to share.<br />
<br />
Take care Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08438622923341832693noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7194995141375221781.post-36517371437954941942014-03-01T18:44:00.000+00:002014-03-01T18:44:18.328+00:00DIY - Re-purpose spice racksThis is a post that I started in summer last year........anyway better late than never!!<br />
<br />
Hi there! Welcome to my blog. On Thursday O went back to school and Hubby was at home to look after V. I got a bee in my bonnet and decided to "up-cycle" two wooden spice racks that I have had for years.<br />
<br />
BEFORE.......<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qGFR25HePRg/UintgUZhT9I/AAAAAAAAAps/k8fsAgxKURU/s1600/IMG-20130905-00699.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qGFR25HePRg/UintgUZhT9I/AAAAAAAAAps/k8fsAgxKURU/s320/IMG-20130905-00699.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Luckily the weather was lovely, so the base coat and paint took no time to dry.</div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Shirley has just been introduced to the delights of paper crafting, and has been a talented sewer for many years.<br />
<br />
She loves dragon flies and paisley, so I had to incorporate them into the card. I embossed the paisley pattered paper as well as the scalloped edging with the cuttlebug paisley folder. I enjoy making the easel card - quick and easy, but looks fantastic!<br />

Hope you have been well? A few friends have asked me to please post some photo's of my craft room. <br />
We are renting at the moment so I am not able to put up any shelves etc, so I am bursting at the seams. It also does not help that the room I have now is 1/5th the size of the craft room I had back home. Granted that it was also the guest room, but the queen sized bed was fab to use for extra 'table' space!<br />
<br />
My new space is 1.9m x2.7m. I am really lacking in table space. I have to put things away almost immediately, otherwise there is no space on the floor for me to walk...ha ha. I am grateful, though, that this is a dedicated craft space, so I don't have to pack EVERYTHING away each time I craft.<br />
<br />
My room is at the top of the landing. I have to keep it fairly tidy. I can't close the door. otherwise it will be too dark at the top of the stairs.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KUDgQpKdHwA/UinpRzvcLrI/AAAAAAAAAnE/AAmcnvxF88k/s1600/IMG-20130809-00639.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KUDgQpKdHwA/UinpRzvcLrI/AAAAAAAAAnE/AAmcnvxF88k/s320/IMG-20130809-00639.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cleared the mess on the table top. My Copic markers are in metal cutlery holders that I bought from a home store back in SA.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_3AT5R49Plo/Uinppb8cnDI/AAAAAAAAAnM/klCphOg0XCE/s1600/IMG-20130809-00640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_3AT5R49Plo/Uinppb8cnDI/AAAAAAAAAnM/klCphOg0XCE/s320/IMG-20130809-00640.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see, the boxes are piled high! It is a bit of an obstacle course and head protection is needed......</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UhzGGyEWLjs/UinrPCQPlfI/AAAAAAAAAnY/M529ghhMPWM/s1600/IMG-20130809-00641.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UhzGGyEWLjs/UinrPCQPlfI/AAAAAAAAAnY/M529ghhMPWM/s320/IMG-20130809-00641.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The shelves hold all the embellishments and other craft "must haves".</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X5r8sYxkcI8/UinrZ1g0xhI/AAAAAAAAAng/q9N__GlancQ/s1600/IMG-20130809-00642.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X5r8sYxkcI8/UinrZ1g0xhI/AAAAAAAAAng/q9N__GlancQ/s320/IMG-20130809-00642.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The tension rod was bought as I thought I could hang my punches from it - too heavy. It now supports the two book cases, as I am not allowed to drill into the walls to bolt then.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f9gqgdQ41ss/UinrfJb9W_I/AAAAAAAAAno/OWOH5iU56_E/s1600/IMG-20130809-00643.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f9gqgdQ41ss/UinrfJb9W_I/AAAAAAAAAno/OWOH5iU56_E/s320/IMG-20130809-00643.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The craft colour boxes hold various fibres, embellishments and stamps.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EGI1_nzZO08/UinrmWHCDOI/AAAAAAAAAnw/Bl2EQzy8wUE/s1600/IMG-20130809-00644.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EGI1_nzZO08/UinrmWHCDOI/AAAAAAAAAnw/Bl2EQzy8wUE/s320/IMG-20130809-00644.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My spices racks hold a few of my punches. Stay tuned for the re-do/up-cycle of these which I completed today. The majority of the punches are in a HUGE big Jim tool box in O's room......</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-olresbm-nWk/UinrwoCwYLI/AAAAAAAAAn4/d2H0L4aLoEg/s1600/photo15.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-olresbm-nWk/UinrwoCwYLI/AAAAAAAAAn4/d2H0L4aLoEg/s320/photo15.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Plastic paper trays house my papers - well some of it....I do tend to hoard paper...<br />
The folders house the catalogue of stamps, ink colours, dies, punches, sprays etc. There are also inspiration and tutorial folders.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--mnI3Ms275E/Uinr3cz8xHI/AAAAAAAAAoA/653L6wEGU-A/s1600/photo14.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--mnI3Ms275E/Uinr3cz8xHI/AAAAAAAAAoA/653L6wEGU-A/s320/photo14.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The floor is packed too....can just squeeze my legs under there when I sit at my desk.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-f9u5DT7bT0A/UinsG7WWmXI/AAAAAAAAAoQ/KUmQiySqc2o/s1600/photo13.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-f9u5DT7bT0A/UinsG7WWmXI/AAAAAAAAAoQ/KUmQiySqc2o/s320/photo13.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These are the boxes that house stamps (in themes), stencils, packaging materials etc.</div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
stuff everywhere you look, but the BLING box is easy to get to</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-siIpnX-VMxc/Uinsp5cOg4I/AAAAAAAAAo4/IsppI-tBAJg/s1600/photo4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-siIpnX-VMxc/Uinsp5cOg4I/AAAAAAAAAo4/IsppI-tBAJg/s320/photo4.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Scissors, bone folder, ruler etc that I use often are within easy reach</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tNZIKZxDB9g/UintCLCfuxI/AAAAAAAAApI/zGkO_9Un0pg/s1600/photo2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tNZIKZxDB9g/UintCLCfuxI/AAAAAAAAApI/zGkO_9Un0pg/s320/photo2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The lighting is not the greatest, but have to make do till I have some money to upgrade the lights. The copic colour chart on the wall is for quick reference. The wire 3 tier caddy is a new purchase - just fell in love with it. It holds stamp cleaners, glues and mini ink pads. The metal bucket holds the wooden pegs awaiting the ribbon remnant stash to be sorted.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wHgpuMcdVgE/UintIOusa3I/AAAAAAAAApQ/JIbxs5MjnNY/s1600/photo1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wHgpuMcdVgE/UintIOusa3I/AAAAAAAAApQ/JIbxs5MjnNY/s320/photo1.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my cutting station. It is way too small, but will have to do. My metal dies are in the plastic box file on magnetic sheets, but it weighs a ton! Will get new folders to hold these one day. The clear basket holds some scraps from the most recent creations. The Sizzix dies are in the large craft boxes (again very heavy) and my embossing folders are in the other, smaller box. The dvd storage box is being used for tapes, glue dots, chalks etc.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So that is it in a nutshell. I do still have 1large box that needs to be unpacked, and more papers etc in the kids room. Luckily the new beds in O's room have storage drawers, so one holds all my envelopes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I have been able to make some cards, so will post them this week.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
My new toy (Oekaki sewing machine/free hand embroidery machine) arrived yesterday. Can't wait to play.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Take care all and happy crafting.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qGFR25HePRg/UintgUZhT9I/AAAAAAAAApo/KucaRh3tMvI/s1600/IMG-20130905-00699.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a> </div>

Since my last post, we have sold and packed up a house as well as moved continents! It has been a hard few months - saying goodbye to family and friends and venturing into the unknown and pretty much single-handed, as Hubby left first a few months ahead of us. We are slowly making our new country our home.<br />
<br />
I feel creatively DEAD! I have not been able to craft for months and am still trying to unpack the boxes of craft stuff, whilst entertain O and V. My stunning, big craft room is a thing of the past. I now have a box room, so fitting a watermelon into a pin-prick is pretty much what I am trying to achieve. I must be grateful for my own space though, as I know many of you very talented crafters produce stunning works of craft from dining room tables, or tight corners of your homes.<br />
<br />
I am hoping to be able to start posting some more craft things and desperately need to find a craft outlet to sell the hundreds of cards I have created. I must now make this obsession pay it's way.......<br />
If anyone who is reading this lives in the UK and especially in Worcester, and knows of places /ways of selling hand made things, I would really appreciate a heads up!<br />
<br />
Anyway, sorry that this blog has been quiet for so long. I hope you are all well and please drop me a line, say hi, or leave any comment.<br />
<br />
Take care and sending crafty vibes your way.<br />

I had wanted her party theme to be flower fairies - all mommies think their one year old's look too cute in fairy wings!<br />
<br />
My Mom smocked the cutest dress for her and she also helped me to decorate the cake.<br />
<br />
Below are some photo's of the day:<br />

Every year we pull a name from the hat and make that person a gift for Christmas. This year I pulled Amanda, our teacher. It is always a bit daunting having to create something for the teacher - HRH always has amazing ideas!<br />
<br />
Being <strike>obsessed </strike>a fan of Pinterest, I have pinned numerous Wreaths and decided that I would make this as my gift. There are just SO MANY wreath ideas; I really battled to pin down an idea.<br />
Amanda is a girlie-girl, queen of bling and all things fabulous. Feathers seemed to fit this fun, flirty and fabulous lady so I set about making a feather wreath.<br />
<br />
Thanks to Pinterest I had a good idea of what would make a quick and easy wreath.<br />
<br />
1 x pool noodle<br />
strong tape (I used what we call Gaffer tape)<br />
2 x feather boa's<br />
white plush fabric<br />
felt<br />
MFT loopy bloom die<br />
Diamante corsage pins<br />
lace fabric<br />
glue gun<br />
Ribbon for hanging loop<br />
<br />
Step 1 - decide on size of wreath and cut accordingly. Secure ends together with gaffer tape<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WfaJTrrDS-k/UMi-3veTnHI/AAAAAAAAAds/B_q0c-azArM/s1600/001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WfaJTrrDS-k/UMi-3veTnHI/AAAAAAAAAds/B_q0c-azArM/s640/001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 2 - cover with plush fabric to hide the noodle. I used the glue gun as I went to stick the fabric to the noodle. I left a flap open so I could insert the beginning of the feather boa.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9mS9ekyYq4E/UMi-5BxwvNI/AAAAAAAAAd0/32tBsQhtFLY/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9mS9ekyYq4E/UMi-5BxwvNI/AAAAAAAAAd0/32tBsQhtFLY/s640/002.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 3 - start to wind the feather boa around the wreath. I only glued the ends down. I used 2 boas for my wreath. I can't remember the size as I forgot to measure it, but it was large. The boa's were 1.8m in length each.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jzMxvHkC6ow/UMi-7GMyUVI/AAAAAAAAAd8/_M8Ffs8gV_Y/s1600/003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jzMxvHkC6ow/UMi-7GMyUVI/AAAAAAAAAd8/_M8Ffs8gV_Y/s640/003.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 4 - cut the lace into strips and tie randomly around the wreath.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kLo685LvmzA/UMi-_Pdi9dI/AAAAAAAAAeE/W-nI9xmdX_4/s1600/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kLo685LvmzA/UMi-_Pdi9dI/AAAAAAAAAeE/W-nI9xmdX_4/s640/004.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div align="left">
Step 5 - cut 5 felt flowers with the MFT loopy bloom and glue. Attach to the wreath with the Diamante corsage pins.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N11pzF5oAYg/UMi_GSjxOuI/AAAAAAAAAec/0IaYFmaSxnQ/s1600/025.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N11pzF5oAYg/UMi_GSjxOuI/AAAAAAAAAec/0IaYFmaSxnQ/s640/025.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 6 - tie ribbon at top for the hanging loop. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Sharon and I had worked together at Ackermans and Alison was in our book club.<br />
<br />
We had made a beautiful shoe in a box at card class a while ago, so decided to use it for the packaging of Sharon's gift. She has decided she wants to join the wonderful world of card making and paper crafting, so I gave her money towards a cutting machine.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Her card was stamped with an old Stamps Happen stamp - Vogue silhouette. I should have used finer glitter and coloured in the dress black, but kinda like the "transparent" glimmer it has!</div>

Everything went into the box which was tied with an organza ribbon.</div>

For Alison, I mad a little bag for her Pamper gift voucher. It is the Sizzix die - Bag Favour.</div>

Alison's card was glitter-embossed with an old Inkadinkado dress. <br />

I had fun in my craft room, but it was a 2am finish.......so ended up being a bit of a party pooper! O and V were up by 5:30am, so I would never had made another 2am stint.<br />
<br />
Thanks gals - your party was fab and I hope you enjoyed the gifts and cards.<br />
<br />
Take care all<br />
