Hi, I'm Debbie and welcome to my blog. I'm a mom to two amazing kids, and wife to a wonderful Husband. I thrive on being creative - thanks to my incredible Mom. She is talented in so many areas; she taught me to sew, enjoy baking and creating from experiences. I enjoy many forms of creativity: Graphic design (my newest venture), sewing, paper crafting and even cake decorating. I am constantly evolving and thus, an avid Pinner! The world and its array of wonderful people, will forever be inspiration. I hope you find something here that will inspire you to find your inner creativity. I love to learn new things and hear about my readers. Please leave a comment if a post has inspired you or just made you smile.

Card making and paper craft - 50th birthdays

Last Saturday we went to a combined 50th birthday for friends of ours. Sharon and I had worked together at Ackermans and Alison was in our book club.

We had made a beautiful shoe in a box at card class a while ago, so decided to use it for the packaging of Sharon's gift. She has decided she wants to join the wonderful world of card making and paper crafting, so I gave her money towards a cutting machine.

Her card was stamped with an old Stamps Happen stamp - Vogue silhouette. I should have used finer glitter and coloured in the dress black, but kinda like the "transparent" glimmer it has!

Everything went into the box which was tied with an organza ribbon.

For Alison, I mad a little bag for her Pamper gift voucher. It is the Sizzix die - Bag Favour.

Alison's card was glitter-embossed with an old Inkadinkado dress.

The flourish, circle strip, numbers and letters are all Die-namic dies from My Favourite Things.
I had fun in my craft room, but it was a 2am finish.......so ended up being a bit of a party pooper! O and V were up by 5:30am, so I would never had made another 2am stint.

Thanks gals - your party was fab and I hope you enjoyed the gifts and cards.

Take care all

Disney Cars Birthday Cake

O turned 3 in October. He LOVES cars and when I asked what he wanted for his birthday party, Cars was his immediate answer.

I decided against making his cake in the shape of a car, but played "Suga-dough" instead (my version of play-dough!).

I was supposed to make Sally and Mater too, but thought lightening was cute by himself!

Luckily you can get the printed images, so that finished off the cake nicely.

A happy little guy - couldn't believe he could eat Lightning!

A fun day was had by all.

Hope you are keeping well. Take care and thanks for stopping by.
