Card Making - Lotus Lady

Hi there. Sorry I have been so quiet - both Hubby and I have been ill and I have not had the energy to sit at the computer. I see that since I have been away, I have another follower - welcome and I do hope that you enjoy visiting my blog.

Well today I have a Asian inspired card, which I made with a stamp so generously given to me. The main stamp is Stampington & Co - Lotus and the words are from Great Impressions. Blanche is based in George and has some lovely stamps.

The card is A5 size in white linen card stock. I found some Asian inspired scrapbook paper which I stamped the words Joy, Peace and Love and attached to the card. Lotus was stamped onto torn shimmer vellum paper and backed with a mottled gold paper. Both were torn at the bottom for interest. To add texture I added some thin twine at the top and finished off with a gold Chinese coin.

  1. Asian theme - always one of my favourites. I love the twine on the card - it adds a lovely touch. TFS!

ps. Hope you're both feeling better - should have had more green "muti" yesterday - would have cured all ills!
